Yoweri Museveni amjibu Obama juu ya msimamo wake wa kupinga Ushoga! Adai Afrika hatulazimishi maoni ya maadili kwa yeyote, na vivyo hivyo Afrika haitaji kulazimishwa maadili ya kufuata ama kutofuata na yeyote (Mataifa ya nje)!

- Haya yamekuja baada ya rais huyo wa Uganda kusaini Mswada wa sheria inayoharamisha mapenzi ya jinsia moja na Sheria hiyo kutoa adhabu kali ikiwemo kifungo cha maisha. Kitendo ambacho kimefanya Marekani kutishia kitasababisha kudhoofisha mahusiano ya nchi hizo mbili.



I would like to discourage the USA government from taking the line that passing this law will “complicate our valued relationship” with the USA as President Obama said.

"Countries and Societies should relate with each other on the basis of mutual respect and independence in decision making," Museveni said.

He reassured all Ugandans and the international community of its continued commitment and respect for the rule of law.
